Hi, my name is Yonda. I'm also known as Mason Brandon Roach, 16 years old. I'm the administrator of a Minecraft server called Squadcraft. This server called Squadcraft is what this thread is about. I am watching Squadcraft servers have problems and issues that I cannot fix, I do not have the tools to fix these issues, new servers are not getting added even though I personally have created 2, prison and paintball. This is a problem, I have a dream of 1000 players by 2015, reffered to as 1000 x 2015. I understand surge works because I know what he's doing, but as far as the stuff people can see he isn't doing much. This may seem like a power grab but I assure you it is not, I have been with squadcraft for years, it holds part of my heart. I have devoted thousands of hours to it and it is my duty to make it better... before I got admin surge would often ask me "Why do you want admin" I would often reply with "Because it's the next step. I am a mod, admin is natural progression" He would tell me "And that is why you are not an admin, you should want to be an admin to make the server better" I took those words to heart. I moderated every single server solo for months, out of dedication and love for the server. I became an admin and made improvements in every area I could with the permissions I have, now all I can do is deal with the staff team, far under my limits. I know what I can do, I can improve the servers and make them better for playing, rather than what surge does which is protect us from ddosing and stuff like that. He is very good at what he does but he doesn't quite understand what people want. I take the blame for alot of things that go on on Squadcraft that I just can't help, most of it isn't me i'm just willing to take the hate. But it has got to a point where I see so much that I could fix if I had console that I have to speak out and ask the players. Now surge I know you have trust issues but I feel this is something that is needed. I've been with you the entire road. And I assure you this is not a power grab. Even if it starts as only 1 server I guarantee you will see a great improvement in it. So here, I ask you... Should I have console?
Squadcraft needs yonda. I cant imagine a squadcraft without yonda. He's a good admin (what 80% do not see) he actually worka hard for squad and it existance. So i vote yes! Even tho i hate him 6 out the 10 times
I don't exactly know what you think of me, but you do deserve to have at the very least a chance with the console. You've given so much to squad that it would be extremely unfair to deny it.
Definetly cause Yonda is more active than Surge and Yonda listens to people. Not saying surge doesnt listen but whenever hes on hes either busy with other things, sleeping or afk. And plus, if surge wanted to leave squad, who would take over because yonda wouldnt have console
I get that having access to console is a good idea, but Yonda. When are the last 3 times Surge has listened to public opinion on a large matter? (Public opinion being the poll) The question isn't rhetorical. I just can't remember many except that staff replacement thread
Okay, I won't correct you I'll prevent the grammar mistakes from happening in the future. Fullstops please.
Tbh, however annoying I find Yonda at times, (Probs gonna be banned on that one) I think he definitely deserves console, he is one of the most dedicated and helpful people on any server I have ever played on. This will vastly increase the speed and growth of the server and will help Squadcraft become one of the more popular servers out there. Ik surge won't listen to a peasant like me, but Yonda deserves Console. Plus you can't run a 500+ person server with 1 person on a console, never mind a sometimes inactive one.....
Yonda helps Squad so much, through tough times, he has been here from the start. Despite what people thinks he one of the best admins there could ever be; talking to his players, doing his job We NEED Yonda. Anyways, I think Yonda should get access to the console.
I'm going to be honest here. I wouldn't consider Surge an owner. Everytime I see him online he's AFK. Whenever he is no longer AFK, he goes AFK again. Yonda does most of the work on the server, and I think the answer is yes. He's out going, responcible, and a hard worker.
Surge needs to be more active on forums, too. Whenever I see Yonda on he's doing something for the server. Last time I saw him was when he finished building the new Skywars Evolved spawn.
You do good at changing people's minds. Even though you break most of the rules that you, and the mods have set, you would help the server itself, maybe not so much on making people fall in love with the server because of staff but you would change the server to make it funner, so in a way, you're doing what NoahCraft wanted to do with the server.
Yes. Yonda, I know you can be mean sometimes. But that doesn't mean anything. If you had console I'm sure you could make the server at least 50% better than it already is. Anyways, good luck and I hope you get console. +1 My Support -Tea
He's probably working on console. Yonda will prob do that or log off Minecraft if he get's console. You just have to get use to it.
Is surge able to listen for 1 time to his server. You would do better as we all know if you had the console
The reality of the matter is that Surge sits on his ass all day collecting money from customers, while Yonda and the unpaid mods do all the work. Don't call them donors, they're not. They're customers buying digital goods, which is coincidentally income not being reported to the IRS. Yonda works tirelessly day in and day out trying to fix things with what little access he has, but he can't fix everything. Remember the huge ass list of problems and their fixes I submitted earlier? Nothing in it was addressed by Surge. Things have become monumentally more broken since then, things Yonda could fix easily, if Surge didn't have his head so far up his ass. Over the past few months, Surge has ensured that Factions and MCMMO will not have any sort of xray protection. He has nerfed or completely disabled NoCheatPlus in several servers. He mass unbanned cheaters several times, even people who have attacked the server. But he has put in almost no effort to fix things, like when Factions was down for 4 days back around April, or Skyblock for 3 weeks, or Creative for 6 months. Yonda has saved his ass, and his paycheck, numerous times, but Surge still remains ungrateful, lazy, and greedy. The problem with Squadcraft isn't that things are broken. Things can be fixed. The problem with Squadcraft is that it is owned by Surge. You can't fix trash. It has to be thrown away.
I could put in an essay on how things aren't right but what good would that do? The fact is, things need to change, and they're not.
Nailed it. Yonda deserves console, not granting him access is like not giving a mod /kick. If the server is to progress and gradually expand this change inevitably needs to happen. In brutal honesty I consider yonda more of an owner then surge. Yonda is always their listening to our worries and doubts on the server even when these claims are illogical we all ways get a response worthy of our questions. Yonda supports each one of us through the use of everyday techniques and his down to earth attitude if he was to be granted console the essential changes that need to be made to squad could be granted and fixed. Yonda you need console without it you cannot fully enable all of your potential in which you have to offer squad. Keep up the brilliant work.
I'm with MCS, even though we dislike each other I think you should get console. But wouldn't it be funny if Surge just came on and said no, and didn't consider anyone else's opinions? Kinda sounds like this admin I know....
You forgot the time when i said. It was not stealable or i cant get unswegged Even not by yoda13. This shows imaturity steel.
