I dont know the right format so I'm just going to type what I think it is.

Server banned from: Global ban, cant even join the hub.

Why should you be unbanned?: I was falsely banned, I wasn't even on-line when this error happened.
I dont even remember spamming or the like.. I really do believe I deserve a second chance, I'm a very nice person once you get to know me.

Anything else you would like to add: I would be very thankful for the nice actions you would give me.​

Because I banned him but I don't have ban reason permissions so the default message is "you have been banned for spam".

Also, it was 6:30 am when I typed that message. I meant insensitive.

EA_Sharks the name hitlerdidnothing is is all personal opinion, i could think that the jew deserved it or that hitler was a dick (None of these are my opinons they are examples). There are hundreds if not thousands of offensive names on MC, i saw a kid on factions with the name "PussyDestroyer" i thought it was disgusting and rude. I've also seen names like osamabinlaiden or things of that sort. My point is if your banning people for being "Insensitive and rude" then you should ban a lot of the server. I know surge is always trying to boost the number of players so why ban them? obviously it could be argued that his name could offend people and they wont come back but like i said before its all opinion.

 

I had Surge's approval to ban him and his name is repulsive. It may trigger PTSD for some players who have ancestors who lived/died in concentration camps.

 

So ban anyone with an "offensive name".

 

There's a difference between an offensive name and an innapropriate one. This user is the only one I've seen with an offensive name.

I agree with EA on this situation. Your name literally disgusts me. Do you have any idea what Hitler did? Hitler had no respect for any jews whatsoever so he just wanted to kill the Jews whether they were innocent or not. Not just that, he also had big hatred for everyone that was not German. Additionally, this is a server for people to have fun on and you're being a really bad influence towards those kids. You guys are freely throwing around the name "hitler", hitler was a fine name before one man spoiled it. In certain's name does he ever specify the hitler he is referring to? His name is left to the Interpretation of the reader if they connect certain' name to the unspoken man's name then they know what he has done (hopefully). Side note: I see that excuse way too much "kids play on here" or "you're being a bad influence " if anyone is being a bad influence in that child's life it is their parents for being ignorant and not teaching their children what to watch out for or teaching them their opions/beliefs. Instead of spending 20$ on MC and chucking them in a separate room so you can relax for 30min it's their fault if their child gets exposed to things they haven't explained (Obviously we can do our part to help out but you can't expect for them to be shielded from things on the internet forever). I will restate this I am not pro anything I am just amazed about the decisions that were made to get certain banned.

 

So if I went to a US airport and said to my dad, "hey, Osama Bin Laden's didn't die last time people tried to kill him - in fact I'm going to see him to discuss future plans for attacks, in our secret rendezvous!" out loud, in front of an immigration officer, would they believe me if I told them I was talking about my friend from Saudi Arabia called Osama who's dad happens to be called Laden, and who plays Counter Strike with me and is going to meet me when I go to Saudi at a small shack?

Oh and apparently in Germany -the country who's reputation was most affected by Hitler's deeds - it's illegal to endorse or support Hitler - I doubt they'd appreciate the argument "How do you know I'm talking about Adolf Hitler who killed thousands of Jews? This was never about the name nor wars or any other straying argument that was had. My point throughout this whole post is that surge and the staff teams logic behind offensive/inappropriate content is stupid. They think it's ok to let kids cuss/use foul derogatory terms towards each other and get muted, but when some kid thinks it's funny to make a stupid opinionated name he gets banned. If they banned all of the people that offended/hurt other people I would be fine. Since day 1 of my moderating "career" it's always been about equality.

 

That's Surge's ruling not mine to ban him. In my opinion, people with rude or insensitive names should just get /nick ed "player 1" or something basic.

I agree that they should possibly be temp-banned for 30 days, until they change their name.
I'm sorry, but a perm ban for a name doesn't seem right. All servers have different rules, so that's why I think it should just be a 30 day ban.

I never said anything about him not being bad or whatnot.
All I stated was, a ban for a name is a bit harsh, I feel a 30 day Tempban would be the appropriate punishment, and then they can show proof they changed their name.
It doesn't matter how bad the name is, as long as they change it, they should be unbanned.
