Once again @surgetheurge you have messed about with the kitpvp again and to be honest its kinda fked it again. It was fine before u changed the speed of players so if you would be able to change it back to normal because me and others can't fight with it.

we do have some alternative options
1) no knockback lol.
2) weird odd knockback that everyone hates and complains about
3) this sprintless kitpvp where everyone moves around fast just by walking but there is no sprint.

 

Or you could do regular Pvp - their are mods for a reason

 

Remove the auto-pot fill and splash potions.

 

Or you can all just go along with what surge does and stop complaining.

I think you are heading in the right direction. All it needs is good bit of tuning.
The only issue now is that while it does stop hackers to an extent, it has made the rest of kitpvp more 'interesting'. RIP Parkour
Without floor particles all invisible kits have quite a decent buff in not being spotted when they run.

Is there a plug in which allows you to have finite sprint? You could run for say maybe ten seconds, and your food bar would reduce rapidly, then you would have to walk for maybe twenty seconds to allow it to fully recharge. This is just me throwing some ideas out there.

The pvp is fine with splash pots + regular kb + normal speed + Keep the hunger bar down at 5. That way, most people will be able to cope with that.

And as meta said we have mods to deal with problems. I got contacts with about 3 so if there is a problem when im on ill just get dragon or bolt ez as that.

+ I also kinda agree with lookcook. If you are gonna change something atleast post it on forums or something so we are aware.

As meta has said you have mods to deal with hackers surge you don't need to mess with pvp mechanics stop trying to make the server run its self and try and make the server more compatible for other players; yes you can adapt to this but any one who pvps on any other server will tell you that playing on kitpvp at the moment is ridiculous pvp is fine in vanilla so please just don't fix what isn't broken.

 

yea invis kits are op, should we make people lose invisibility when they attack players? and then regain it half a second later? So every time an invisible person hits a player, they become visible for half a second, if they continue attacking, they will stay visible, if they get focused (prioritized in combat), they can turn and get away, and in half a second since their last attack, they will become invisible again. What do you guys think?

The way you said this sends a lot of mixed messages. First you said it's unnecessary, and that kind of makes it seem like you are brushing it off as insignificant. Well if it's insignificant then it wouldn't take too much for people to tolerate it.

Mostly hackers and cheaters... isn't that what we're trying to do? Stop people from manipulation bad gameplay mechanics for unfair and abusive advantages?
Let's say you have a button, and when you press it, you automatically win. Some people argue that pressing the button, is a just gameplay mechanic, and that everyone can do it if they want to. While it is true, most people are casuals, and casuals won't know any better, they won't know about the button, or if they can press it. My problem is, i don't want people to abuse others for easy gains. IF a casual and a pro player meet in a kitpvp battle, the victor should be decided by strategy and skill alone, not the exploitation of something that should have never existed.

Mostly people are bitching and crying because the playing field got a whole lot more even, and the abusive toxic children with the 200 to 1 kd that exploit for free kills are salty they cannot continue having their way with people. Now you can actually get your ass kicked by a casual with no mods.

You can't. A lot of cheaters are obsessed with cheating in a way where they can't be detected, not by plugins, not by humans. It's simple, the hacked minecraft client just does all the work for you, so you can effortlessly pvp to a super human extent with no detection. I would bet good money that a lot of people whom are respected as fierce non cheating pvpers, whom actually have high profile low detection hacks.

What would be the point of just banning half the hackers and then patting yourself on the back that the job is done? My whole philosophy

with cheats, is to make the server fun and playable enough to the point where cheating just doesn't give a whole lot of benefit.

Anyway, weird knockback or no sprint, choose your poison. Ether way no sprint hits for you. abusers.

Cheaters thrive in this example. They use permanent sprint hits, and you can never reach them, while they kill you with a permanent combo.

we need a solution to infinite combo, i am all ears if you have one.

Surge I have an idea and on this you have to go along. I will put up a survey on forums and anyone can vote. They can vote for kitpvp to have Splash potions + Regular Sprint + Half hunger + Regular Knockback and if a hacker was on then the mods can do there job. Or we can have the Hunger bar at 2 + No Knockback and other stuff you added.
@surgetheurge. If the 1st gets ore votes then we leave it at that but if the other gets more votes then its left with that. Deal?

You are too focused on making the server hack free that you are forgetting to keep the server fun for the rest of us, you have brought on a great team of staff now that should keep the server hacker free 80% of the time but you obviously can't make it hacker free all the time while still keeping the regular pvp aspect of kitpvp. To be completely honest with you I would rather pvp and come across the occasional hacker then the server being as it is now and not being able to pvp at all. I understand that you are trying to help but we are trying to tell you that we don't need help in that way, not with the new on to it team of staff. Currently you are worried about people leaving the server because of hackers, soon your problem will be people leaving the server because of the unwanted changes you are making to attempt to stop people from leaving in the first place and pretty soon I will be one of those people because I don't know how long I can put up with the hit registry being so bad I have to attack someone for a good 5s to get a single hit in.. it takes the whole fun away from the server. You say we are complaining that we are fighting evenly with less experienced pvpers and yeah damn right we should be obviously you don't understand that there is a competitive aspect to pvp and it all comes down to skill, we are fighting evenly with these people because you mess with the server until the way we pvp requires no skill and who wants to pvp on a server where everyone is equal, where you are not given the chance to stand out, to show people your skill. You also mentioned about "undetectable hacks" well if nobody can 'detect' them then it's not affecting anyone is it. LISTEN TO WHAT WE WANT because without us there is no server at all and I think everybody is with me on this.

From what I have heard he has never intendedly used any pvp hacks in the past and jerry2kewl just because you have mod now that doesn't give you the right to talk to me like shit. If you want to make a forum post discussing Kiwi then make one and we can talk about this there for as long as you want. I know Kiwi and even if he was testing a client or something he would never use any hacks that give him a big advantage over other players unless he toggles it accidentally with a hotkey but yes I do hate that he likes to fiddle with clients even though he doesn't use the hacks that give him a big advantage, idk why he had it I think he used it for autosprint or status HUD or something but you can get mods for that without getting a client.. he is confusing.
