This server could get more people donating, only if the community has deals each week e.g. one week only skywars gold %50 hurry in.
This happens on certain holidays. SquadCraft will probably have a Halloween sale or a Thanksgiving one coming up.
if we had sales every week that wouldn't help us generate more money, even if it did get us more donations. (Less cost, harder to get to target).
That is true, but the possibility exists where you will get more members donating on other servers when the deals are on. This is the more likely possibly as members are more likely to have the money free to buy a good rank at half the price, you say revenue would be down, but infact if you forget about what a rank is called then the only see the money side of it, and all the revenue side shows you is an increase in donations, then this can only be seen as a good thing. So I disagree with your comment stating the idea as bad.
Fair enough, but I still think that if this went ahead (not that I particularly care if it does) that while the server would get more donations over all, it would take a lot more donations (double the amount we are currently getting, if the amount of people donating now is even reaching the goal set on the buy craft page) to reach this goal. I understand what you are saying about how members would donate a lot more because of the sales, but would it be enough for surge to think its worth it?
