Mods Get Temp-Ban Perms

I know that mods don't get to have ban permission cos sometimes they hackusate and ban people for the heck of it but for those who know hackers and know they hack from reports and actually seeing it, they can temp-ban them because it would make it easier.

This is an idea.

No. I used to think yes, mods should get temp ban perms, but that was just the hunger for power and niavity I assume. Being a victim of abusive temp banning at one point, I don't think this would be a good idea. It's hard to get proof of the abuse, simply something saying you've been tempbanned, and that can be denied for not having the abuser themself. -1

 

I agree with TcWxFusinons2. I am pretty sure surge would love to make squadcraft the best server although if they add temp ban and ban the wrong person, blame yourself. You could lose you role as a moderator. That is why we need proof.

 

No No No Moderators use to have Temp Ban and they abused it by going /tempban User 9999 As it perm bans the player so surge removed it.

Well.. To be honest I think moderators should have temp ban although it should be earned. Like, if you're a new mod to the staff team then obviously you're not going to get it because you're not that trusted yet with the perms. But if you were a moderater let's say 5 or 6 months and were receiving good feedback, can actually control the position, know how to use perms such as /jail /mute, then obviously you should get the temp ban permission. But it all depends as some people need to start slow (i.e inexperienced mods) and others need to start a bit faster (I.e experienced mods). Also, you guys need to honestly shush about abusing. If someone abused then surge would demote them easily and can fix the damage. He's not going to add someone how's gonna /tempban everyone to the staff team so calm.

Are you kidding??? 1 month jail. You do understand that with jail you have to be ONLINE for that long. That would mean it would take at minimum a month, and at max years to get through that time especially if you can't afk it overnight. That's basically asking for players to quit...

 

I would agree a maximum extention really would have to be something along the lines of three days but even thats a long time in game hours.

This was in the time with yonda and this is what i heard and got told,

Surge removed it because he didnt want to loose more players so instead of banning it became jailing,

 

What I had always been told was certain moderators, and in specifics one certain mod ( <3 ily dw ) was abusing it and got it removed

 

If I remember correctly they didnt have it for long but when they did everyone was complaining that it was unfair.

 

Ye I agree with tcw2. Surge should add another level, Supervisor. Higher than moderator. They should get temp ban.

 

Not a bad idea... That position should be for experienced and trustworthy mods like @Fruity17D and @TcWxFUSIONS
