I wanted to explain the gapple change because a lot of people are super confused and it's hard for them to understand.

Normally when you eat an enchanted golden apple in minecraft, you get a 20% damage reduction boost, and regen 4 for 30 seconds. This basically gives you 1.66 hearts per second for 30 seconds. That totals 49.8 hearts. There is also the 2 hearts from absorption. 51.8 The 20% resistance buff causes this number of 51.8 hearts to increase to 62.16 effective hp. You are essentially being healed 20.72 heal per 10 seconds.

The issue is that nothing can break the gapple healing effect. I suppose you could do some cheese with tnt eggs and asword kit, but practically and cost efficiently, nothing can break the gapple healing effect.

Some people rely on breaking other people's armor to kill them. But what if they have diamonds in their hot bar or if they have unbreakable armor? unbreak armor costs money to use now, but in those cases where breaking the other person's armor isn't possible, how do you go on about winning?

I don't like gapples very much because there isn't really much counterplay. You can't really stop your enemy from gapping, and you can't really do much once they've gapped.

After they've gapped, they are being healed for more than you can possibly ever dish out, their armor won't break, so what is even the point in swinging your sword at all? You are basically waiting 30 seconds for their healing to expire in order to try to get an another window of opportunity to kill them. Many pvpers will chug gaps, and in that case you've never got an opportunity to kill them.

The fac1 gaps give a player 30 yellow hearts but only for 30 seconds. Without resistance def buff, this is basically half of the healing that the original gapples give.

Also, armor and weapons multipliers will be in effect, and the person with superior armor will eat gapples less often, the person with a superior weapon will make their enemy gap more. When the enemy is gapping, they can't hit you, meaning that you use less gapples.

The whole thing becomes a lot more interactive and tactical. Also, the fight itself becomes a lot more challenging and exciting. Before, when both people gapped, you just wait sloppily for their gap to expire.

Now, every additional point of damage done, is beneficial. Let's say they have 30 gaps, aka 900 health, every extra ounce of damage you do, will count. They are only limited to 900 health. So if you give it your all, and pvp to the best of your ability, it will make a difference. Where as with the vanilla gapples, when someone gaps, your pvp performance has no effect.

Would it be easier to just have pots instead of gaps? Idk tho :p
