So the problem with donor armor, and just generally powerful armor, the more of it exists, the cheaper is each piece. What I think we should do, is remove the durability from those armors, and make the durability just go down based on quantity of time the item can be used for. For example if you have an armor set, let's say you can be in combat for 72 hours, before it completely degrades, reaching 0 durability and disappearing. Without a repair option, or maybe with an extremely expensive repair option. The idea is to make the armor almost as expensive repair, as it's actually worth, limiting the amount of armors, making each one worth more. I was thinking about having a website like trade system where players can sell items, it would remove them from in game, or player vaults, or echest, and it would add them to the database on the website. The idea is to have tons of offers to sell and buy items. People would meet in the middle and press the buy botton. Based on the sale prices of the item, that would set the repair cost, maybe at 75% of the cost of item.

Would this take away the unbreak effect on unbreak sets, bedrock sets and god sets?

I think so, but that might not be bad.
Unbreak is used to prevent your armor from breaking in combat and leaving you naked,
this new degrading mechanic won't really break down from a fight, it will only break down from days of pvping.
