Studies show that keeping a prison mate in prision FOR LIFE is cheaper than kill them. It may sound wierd, but it's true. Mostly because they have to pay lawyers, judges, etc. Just to get someone killed. Therefore I am not in favor of it.
I take death seriously, and I know exactly what this debate is about. I said what I said because this is MINECRAFT forums, and the debates are meant for MINECRAFT related issues and discussions. I think squadcraft.net and minecraft forums in general is an inappropriate place to discuss the death penalty, and the children on the forums shouldn't be exposed to the things you and other people have mentioned in this debate already.

That is true, children are exposed to many things they shouldn't be seeing until later in life, or not at all. But I do think someone shouldn't abuse that fact and make it okay to talk about subjects as these.
Personally I think it's good for kids to formulate their own opinions. I think this topic is very serious, but also very different to them being exposed to something like excessive cussing (80% of kids inthe west)
You're right again and I agree with you, children should form an opinion of their own on any subject matter they're exposed to. I remember being 9-10 and looking around in the library, and I picked up a book about the death sentence, and it was something I wasn't ready for. Killing a human being with lethal injection or the electric chair is probably disturbing to most kids, and I still think that they shouldn't have to think about that. So really it just depends on the kid, and if they want to be part of this debate so be it, only you know what you can handle. I'll also go ahead and give my opinion on the matter. I am in favor of the death penalty, but it all depends on the crime. I think any murder committed out of hatred, spite, and anger, deserves death. I think that death in car accidents deserves a long prison sentence, because more often than not it was caused by a distracted driver or a driver under the influence who shouldn't have been on the road. I think "accidental" murders should be investigated thoroughly and the murderer should serve jail time until a conclusion is made. I think it was Oscar Pistorious who shot his girlfriend through the bathroom door, and in a case like that where he supposedly didn't mean to kill his girlfriend and thought it was a robber, I think he should definatly serve a long jail sentence, but not death, because it is now impossible to tell his true intentions. I think the only way he could get death penalty is if he told the judge the truth, say he tells the judge he meant to kill his girlfriend and he always hated her, as a judge, I would not immediately give him the death sentence because he told the truth, but I would offer him his choice of life in jail, or any of the death penalties. You could also add that Oscar admitted to shooting his girlfriend on purpose, but he was truly sorry he did it. Then I don't think he should deserve the death penalty, but a long jail time. Long story short, I'm in favor of the death penalty, IF the crime is serious enough to use it.
Deffinatly in favour of the death sentence. If u kill 3 women, or even one, should have to inflict the pain they have and ur family should have the loss their family had. But if its u run over some1, or a accidental murder, then u dont be given the death sentence and just be given the usual sentence. This would also be good to teach these gangs to stop holding a knife at someone and killing them in an attempted Robbery. They will know if they kill someone, they will die and, with technology these days, they won't evade this by fleeing to another country etc. It's all about the evidence gathered but if its in the circumstance I stated, I am in favour of the death sentence.
