lighthearted and carefree. "Nan had a gay disposition and a very pretty face" brightly colored; showy; brilliant. "a gay profusion of purple and pink sweet peas" foolish, stupid, or unimpressive. "making students wait for the light is kind of a gay rule" Of a person who is homosexual, especially a male. "That friend of yours, Is he gay?"
True, very true. A phobia is a deep fear of something, and I am sure no one here is a true Homophobic as that would mean literally quivering in their pants at the sight of a homosexual. All insults have a backstory, when someone calls someone else "gay" they aren't viewing that person as a male, they are saying that person is feminine of a female, which will now make these people call sexism, well? Would you like to be called by a gender you are not? Maybe some wouldn't be bothered by it, but there are some of us who take pride in who we are. The term "f*ggot" is a slang term for a homosexual, it is also the British spelling of the word "fagot", which is a bundle of sticks used as fuel or to be burned. Now some may think of that as telling a homosexual to burn, but that's thinking way too much into it, ask anyone who uses the term a lot and you would see they don't even know the origin of the word "f*ggot" and probably don't know that "fagot" is a real word.
I'm not even afraid of "gay people" I just don't support them as much as some other people do xD. I'm starting to not even support it anymore because of al the hatred you get for having 1 single opinion on a gay person, that's supposedly "mean" or "discriminate" Gay is slang for "dumb" nowadays, and some supporters can't accept that and it's hilarious sometimes.
Lol dude, you have no idea what you're talking about. Tell me something: how come being racist towards black people, is called discriminating, but not supporting gay people is called an opinion? Oh yeah, because it's not. Both of them are discrimination. You're probably gonna get a butthurt and not reply, like usual. But it's a question..
If you're gonna try to make a point, I think it's best to do it maturely...nobody would want to reply if you're gonna act like that
Not supporting it and being against it are different things. If you are racist you have to act like it, Being racist is being openly against a race. As long as you don't act against something or someone directly, it can't be considered discrimination. An opinion is always what you think. While racism is an opinion, only if you act or judge on it, it is discrimination.
Like what? All he does is delete my comment because he never has a reasonable thing to say. (Talking about Meta) he's extremely immature for his age. It's funny because Meta is racist. He called @Sloww a Mexican, making it as an insult. He expresses his feelings openly, meaning he is racist and he is homophobic.
EA_Sharks, I don't like it how you support all opinions, yet when someone says stuff like, "gay," or "fag," you get highly offended. (To all) It's like having an opinion isn't a thing anymore. If you simply say that you do not support homosexuality, it is immediately considered as a homophobic remark. It is highly annoying when people freak out whenever I say that. Take @Dimentio's post on this thread: http://squadcraft.net/threads/u-s-a.15178/ By simply saying that he didn't support it, people like EA_Sharks and Arman started attacking him just for saying that. I'm getting so sick of what our world is becoming. It's almost as if being Christian isn't a thing. Let me quote @Lostvayne's statement above. He is 100% correct. You are considered racist if we act like it. Same thing for gay marriage. It is considered discrimination if we show hate towards it. If we simply just state an opinion, without hateful remarks rowards homosexuals, it isn't discrimination.
But this is what people don't understand and this is why it's impossible to argue. Not supporting equal rights for black people is racist, not supporting equal rights for gay people is homophobic. You're allowed to have those views; freedom of speech. You're not allowed to express any views that disrespect someone's existence. @Fulffu you know how to handle this
By saying that, it is considered offensive. If you said, "I don't support Christianity," then that is not considered as an offensive statement, but an opinion. Same thing for gay marriage, by making offensive remarks towards homosexuals, it's considered homophobic. By simply saying you don't support it, it is an opinion. By simply saying you do not support something doesn't mean it is immediately homophobic. It is an opinion. However if there are offensive statements used, it is homophobic. Like when @cool mentioned Christianity. If you do not support Christianity, you'll take it as an opinion. I bet you would think of that as an opinion, but take someone unsupportive over gay marriage as a homophobe.
Not supporting someone's rights because of a trait they are born with is different than not following a religion.
I'm just mad at how you react to the smallest things about gay marriage. Like when Dimentio said he doesn't support it, the way you reacted was terrible. I know you don't support opinions against gay marriage, but you could ignore them, instead of attacking people. Some people don't support it due to their religion, but they don't show hate towards them.
I mean, you're a mod. You should respect people no matter what. You don't have to attack people just because of their opinions... Well, find a way to do so.
The respect he speaks of and you are speaking of are different. He means respecting someone's decisions (opinions), not that person specifically.
Maybe decisions was a valid word to use, but opinions would have been better. And no, a person is not their decisions. There are a lot of cases where that becomes null.
So you're neutral other than being completely respectful to someone until they deserve your full respect? sounds like a normal Mod @Jace she could say hi she could compliment if she wants and that's called being neutral Jace, also called being a normal Moderator.
Then again Mods don't have to respect an opinion in which they feel the 'opposite' about. It may be an act of kindness but she/he isn't and most likely will not insult the persons opinion in any way. EA didn't say she didn't respect Jace's opinion, don't even bring up her quote because you know she's talking about a different type of respect. Hey look at the 'neutral' part. vvv
Are you guys kidding me? Jeez sorry but come on. It's a thread with simple humorous intentions and you all use it as a chance to argue about opinions and shit. I know it can be really tempting to use any chance you can to express your thoughts but still. You have to have self-control.
Mod's shouldn't be neutral, they should be friendly no matter what. If a new person joined the server and required assistance from a moderator, she must show respect towards him, or he'll feel bad, and possibly leave. Mods should be as kind as possible to people, especially new ones.
You see what I mean by neutral is that you could still greet and help people, it's part of your job..
I respect everyone until they give me a reason not to. Once they have, it's very hard to earn my respect back.
I was going stop, but Arman brought up the comment about EA being neutral. I was trying to ignore it, but he made a new comment, asking me to look at his comment, most likely expecting a response. So, there it goes again. neu·tral ˈn(y)o͞otrəl/ adjective 1. not helping or supporting either side in a conflict, disagreement, etc.; impartial. "during the Second World War, Portugal was neutral" synonyms: impartial, unbiased, unprejudiced, objective, equitable, open-minded, nonpartisan, disinterested, dispassionate, detached, impersonal, unemotional, indifferent, uncommittedMore 2. having no strongly marked or positive characteristics or features. "the tone was neutral, devoid of sentiment" synonyms: inoffensive, bland, unobjectionable, unexceptionable, anodyne, unremarkable, ordinary, commonplace; More I thought you said that people have to earn your respect...also, I can relate to that quote lol
So you should've said that people who lost your respect must earn it back. I mean she has a way of being neutral, not being completely neutral.. if you don't know what I mean then just w/e
Started as a chat about 12 year old ddosers, then moved to something about gay people, then to something about respecting people and then to something about mods and respect. K
I don't support many things, but I am not against them either. I don't support those things because I don't want to get caught up in a shitstorm just for supporting something, I will only openly support whay I am and what I do. This is the same for many people, Just because someone doesn't support homosexuals it doesn't mean they are against them, they could simply not give a fuck because the people against it and the people for it act obnoxious trying to support their beliefs. If that person isn't gay they aren't obligated to support gays, but they also aren't obligated to stand against them. Is staying neutral to either cause so bad? Most of the people who don't support (don't support, not people who are against homosexuality) homosexuality are against the acts that religious people do against homosexuals that harm them or insult them, because it is logical that you shouldn't harm or insult someone for their way of life. Cuz u r bad
You are genuinely stupid if that's all you got from it. I was clearly speaking for sexuality in that post. You don't even have to support a fucking race, you know why? Because you can't fucking support a race because they are genetic and unchangeable, you can be against a race or not mind a race (or you know, not be a prejudiced fuckwit) . It's the same way with being homosexual, You can be against it, Not mind it, OR support it (or be it, of course). You can support homosexuality because a lot of people are against that way of life, you can always change it but you don't have to. Being a race isn't a way of life, it is you and you can't change that shit, someone can discriminate you, that's a fucking given, but they can't go and lynch someone or hurt them based on their skin without consequences anymore can they? Don't be an ignorant twit by trying to sound witty when it only makes you sound idiotic.
And like I said, you aren't obligated to support something if you aren't that something yourself. You aren't obligated to not be racist but it's common sense. And like I said in my last post, You can't support a race anyways so your remark has no thought behind it and is utterly useless.
Don't even try anything. Homosexuality is a personal preference, it isn't written in some fucking stone "You shall love your own damn gender, you have no say in the matter!" I know I am, don't worry about it.
You think homosexuality is a choice?? Okay, try being gay for a week. Only be attracted to men for an entire 7 days. Can't do it? It's because it's not a choice!!! It's how you're born.
No, it's because of his living environment and teachings. He lives by being attracted to anime hookers. He found out about Hentai ofc and he is attracted to it.
No, It really is not. You grow into the people you like. You can say "oh, I want someone who is a nice person, fuck their gender", and become bisexual just like that. You can grow to like an individual, If you love guys with a burning passion, but find a really nice and fun girl, what will stop you from falling in love? Or vice-versa I don't pay them for their services, so they are not prostitutes.
Just stop finding a reason to argue every single time you get the chance to, just kills the forums more.... makes it a bad place.
Hey, when I was little, I could've liked boys. Perhaps I was taught to like girls, since I lived in a Christian household. We don't grow into it, we are taught to. Some parents do not care about what gender you should fall in love with, therefore, they can grow up to be gay, lesbian, etc. We are taught what gender to love.
So you guys are choosing to argue to kill the servers reputation some more??? (forums wise) you could say we don't have a rep anymore but might as well try to earn one and improve on it. DON'T MAKE THE TOPIC LONGER.
It's already a bad place lol. Arguing and debating is all the forums are used for these days anyways.
If you are like me you don't listen to others so you like whatever gender you want to. I just like girls because they can be smaller and softer
EA I'm not saying you're a bad Mod but a good Mod would put their foot down and say 'hey stop the arguing or this thread will be locked and if you want to continue this convo I will gladly invite you to a conversation to deal with your opinions, deal with it more and loose more brain cells because you're not gaining anything from this'. And lock the thread. That's one of the reasons, agreed though.
