Is Xaero's minimap bannable?

I have been using a minimap mod called Xaero's minimap for a while now.


I have posted in the forums and gotten comments that say
"OH THATS A HACK!!! U GONNA GET BANNED!"

Thing is it isnt a hack. Its a mod.

But still

My question is can i use my minimap and not get banned?
If the answer is no i can shut it off.

I looked on the "rules page" of the forums. It did not say anything against minimap, but it did say no "hacking/cheated clients."

Does this count?

 

Well considering that they are so lenient about real hackers a tiny minimap would not be something payed attention to

 

Minimaps aren't bannable, I use Voxel minimap.
