Being a uk resident myself, I think that the uk will no longer be known as the uk at some point because of the fact Scotland want to leave and we have also voted to leave the European union. I generally think that the uk will at some point become 4 different countries: England Wales Scotland Northern Ireland What do you think?
Wasn't the poll just a thing asking the citizens what to do? Since the Prime Minister changed I think they might not do it m8 (wasn't a real vote) UK is still in the EU
AFAIK The Referendum was pretty much to see which side the public supported. The results pretty much influence the outcome of the UK rather than being official results that the country is going to follow, unlike the general elections in which the public vote on the party they want who in turn have their selected party leader who goes on to become PM. The reason why David Cameron stepped down as PM was because he was on the side of staying in the EU, whilst the referendum's outcome was more in favor of Brexit (British Exit). Theresa May, the new PM, could decide that Britain is staying in the EU, but it would mean that the country is less of a democracy and the opinions of the majority of people are pretty much ignored. Atm, Britain is still in the EU and there isn't a set route as to whether it's staying or leaving, and therefore no set date for Brexit. But if Theresa May wants to maintain democracy in the country then it's likely that we'll leave. Again, providing an insight into the referendum rather than sharing my opinion as to what side I'm on.
They should ask again after seeing some of the side effects... they didn't even leave yet xD (tho I think in the long run leaving would be better)
So basically the government just asked the people what they thought, not really an official vote to leave m8. (tho thats probably whats going to happen) Than the Prime Minister resigns and the new one can decide what to do with it (because the new one didn't start the vote so idkk) Basically it was just a poll to see the public opinion
Pretty much, yeah. It's an official poll but could the results don't officially do anything other than influence.
It could still change. We will have to wait. In the meanwhile Europe is starting to feel the carnage wrought by ISIS. (Although I think it's a lot of of young radical muppets joining in in some great 'jihad' and have no direct relation to ISIS.
we aren't gonna come back once we leave It's like being a friend with someone because u wanted something but then u left them the people of the EU would be like oh ok we don't want u back then
If we don't leave in our own time the Eu will just set Article 50 which sets the leaving process in motion, you can't really blame them for doing so after all this effects their economy to.
