What is your Minecraft name? My Minecraft name is RubixBlock. Why do you play Minecraft? I play Minecraft because I seem to have a special connection with this game in particular, I have tried other games and that connection did not exist. I want to be an architect or an engineer when I am older, this game allows me to design and build different structures. What is your time zone? My time zone is Eastern Stantard Time, allowing me to be active generally at the same time as many others since most players seem to be in this time zone. What single sub-server do you spend the most time on? I spend all my time on SkyBlock, since it is one of the two sub-server on SquadCraft that is still sort of alive, the other sub-server is kitpvp but I do not like pvp therefore I play SkyBlock. When are you usually online? On weekdays I am on usually from 6 to 10 PM, on Saturdays I am on usually from 1 to 6 Pm, and on Sundays I am on usually from 11 AM to 4 PM. How many hours a day can you play? How many hours do you actually play? Everyday I can play a maximum of like 6 hours and a minimum of 4 hours. I actually play 5 hours a day whenever I am not disturbed, at multiple occasions though I play much more than 5 hours. How long have you been playing SquadCraft? I have been playing SquadCraft for about 4 years now, I start with the name Rubix2657 and I am now RubixBlock. I have seen moderators come and go throughout the years, I remember Skywars always being full and NoahCraft being online a lot with Surgetheurge and AcidicBlitzz. What's your favorite memory on SquadCraft? My favorite memory on SquadCraft would probably be when on SkyBlock. SkyBlock was very active and social, before only donators could tp, everyone was able to, allowing everyone to make shops and inviting people, it felt realistic and I really thought I was doing real business. It just made me feel like there was a serious business. Where do you spend your time at SquadCraft? I spend all my time on SkyBlock, I am on /baltop right under Surge (I should be first but Surge gave himself money, so yeah) and I am also on /is top under vsteelcityv (a good buddy of mine of SkyBlock). Why do you want to be a moderator? What is your goal as a SquadCraft moderator? I do know that as a Mod I can kick, ban and mute but those are not my intentions. I would like to be a moderator to sort of bring SkyBlock back to life and then eventually the whole server. I will try to make SkyBlock a very social and friendly environment making players invite their friends to play on SquadCraft. As a moderator, how will you affect SquadCraft? I partially answered this question in the previous answer but I will repeat myself. I will affect SquadCraft by making it more inviting and friendly. Those changes could start to make SquadCraft alive again. Sure being a Mod will not change much but the fact that I will be Mod has more chances of attracting attention to what I am saying. Do you want Mod just to have Mod next to your name? No I do not, of course it looks cool to have a purple name an a tag but with the answers to all the questions it is quite obvious that I am not trying to be a Mod just for the name. What happens if you are not chosen to be a moderator? If I am not chosen I will just keep on playing SkyBlock as I do, I will probably be a little frustrated but it happens. What kind of skills do you have? As a Minecraft player I am very skilled and determined, so if I want something done I will be done. As a moderator I am very good as well, I am very good with working with people, I have been volunteering at a camp for 6 weeks now and I am not getting or receiving anything, it is just for fun. At that camp I take care of many kids from ages 6 to 14. Have you ever been banned? If so, why? I have never been banned on SquadCraft, my account was banned on a couple of servers because my friend irl thought it would be a good idea to go on to my account and be an idiot on muliple servers, therefore I was banned, I only chose to ban appeal on one of them because that was my favorite building server that I had spent a long time on. Have you ever cheated, used hacks? If so, why? No I have not. How do you treat younger players? I do not treat players differently with there age, I treat depending on their respect towards others. Do you use TeamSpeak or Skype? I use Skype frequently, I use it every time I play Minecraft. List the things you've done to help the SquadCraft community and the SquadCraft server. I do not think I have done anything to help the SquadCraft community or server but I would like to start with this application. How many applications have you submitted before? When was the last one? I have never submitted an application before. Is there anything else you would like to say? Having the chance to be a moderator is awesome! Do you have any experience as a staff member of any organization? (doesn't have to be Minecraft) As I said earlier I have been volunteering at a camp for 6 weeks now taking care of many kids from ages 6 to 14. Tell us about yourself, about you, your character, personality and values. I feel like I covered enough about me in the previous answers. I also do not like talking about my personal life to strangers even though as a Mod I will be exposed to plenty of strangers.
Like what gamemode do you spend your time on. E.i. skyblock, she, prison and so on. In your case, it would be skyblock I presume. Wut... I admire your courage young one
seems legit Being a mod allows u to kick ban and mute Did u read this through rushed answer I don't understand it's not just the community that makes a good server, and being a mod won't change the community in any way improving the atmosphere on a 5 player server isn't improving the atmosphere of the whole of squadcraft makes a server improvement thread then applies for mod... Idk man
Guess I might as well post my opinion since skyblock is my main server (as in the one that I play on the most). The app is pretty decent, although I don't usually see you taking an active part in warning/reporting rule breakers or helping other people. Plus a lot of the time I see you, you're AFK or generally quiet. If you want to be mod, it would be good if you started taking more of an active part in the points mentioned above. But good luck Rubix
I do know that as a Mod I can kick, ban and mute but those are not my intentions. I am sorry for that mistake, I must of missed it. It does seem like a rushed answer but I felt like I covered that with my other answers. I also do not like talking about my personal life to strangers even though as a Mod I will be exposed to more strangers. Sure being a Mod will not change much but the fact that I will be Mod has more chances of attracting attention to what I am saying. Thank you very much vsteel. Much appreciated You do not see me warning or reporting rule breakers because they are none. Atm the only people that I see on regularly are you, Jodie, Mal, DrPigu, sometimes Bunneh and deadbones, none of you do anything that deserves a mute, ban or kick. I am generally quiet because I do not see anyone wanting help but maybe i should just open my eyes more. Anyways, thank you very much for the advice.
But vsteeeel! You were asking why I hadn't applied the other month because you said you thought I deserved mod too ;-; Jk, I already mentioned that I don't have any intentions of being mod. Not sure if you were online or at keyboard yesterday but there was actually a rulebreaker online who was advertising and spamming ips. Not to mention Kayla likes to break the rules every now and then. As mod you may find yourself having to end Kayla and Mal's regularly unscheduled fights when they come up. Plus, just because you don't see people in need of help, doesn't mean that no one needs any. As a mod, it's worth going out of your way to seek out players who need help, rather than letting them come to you. You may want to take more of an active role on Skyblock, I'm not saying to make yourself centre of attention or to be an attention seeker (like some ) but imo, it's better to participate more in conversation with other players in chat rather than to sit back and wait for trouble or calls for help to come to you. Just my experience of being a staff member.
I haven't really seen you but you seem like a nice guy to me . I think you might be the person for a mod on Skyblock. Gl Bro, wish you da best! +1 BTW: I said +1 because your nice and mainly because you're in love with Minecraft. Same Here xD
Well how come that mod guy [ forgot his name ] accepted Fuzzy's mod app just because he is a mellon. Check Fuzzy's app. I'm just trying to be one of those people, you know
uhh I don't play skyblock at all so I'm no gonna say anything about it, it shows here that you really don't know what moderators do here and ur also new to the forums and I would hate for you to lock someone's thread on accident so I would say for now a -1 but that's just what I can see from this thread
I dun wanna -1 you because you're new to the forums so -2 Heh just kidding I have no opinion on this rn
Remember when you said that there are no rulebreakers on skyblock? Yeah... About that... I've seen people advertising on multiple occasions this week, and nothing's been done about it. Yesterday Kayla, who now doesn't care about being mod (probably until she can reapply again next month) was swearing, not sure if you were on. But before we went to Skywars there was someone advertising and when we came back from Skywars there was someone spamming asking for a server ip. I made it clear in chat that they not only were they breaking the rules by spamming, but they were encouraging someone else to break the rules by advertising. I know that encouraging someone to break the rules isn't neccessarily a rule in its own right, however if you get multiple people like that asking other people to do something that means they're breaking the rules, then I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some problems. Anyway, the point is that no big server is perfect, there's bound to be rebels, and as a mod you can't just assume that everything's going to be alright, people will solve their own problems, everyone will fall in line and you can just go do your own thing. There was at least one person breaking the rules when you were online, nothing was done to stop them. And on the point of being quiet, The only time I saw you speak was when you said hi and replying to people and when we were playing a few games of Skywars. The rest of the time we were both on, I didn't hear you say a thing.
Talking in chat has absolutely nothing to do with being a mod. Before I was modded, I rarely ever talked in chat. After I was modded, I rarely ever talked in chat. Mods do not have to be the talkative type, as long as they enforce the rules. I don't understand why you're so hooked on this one thing. That's helps, it's not required
I know it's not madatory, I'm just saying it's worth joining in every once in a while. A mod may be able to do their job effectively, but if they remain hostile/isolated then it doesn't help with building and maintaining good relations with other players and staff. I'm not saying that mods have to join in with every conversation, but it's good to make the effort every once in a while.
