You can't just expect someone to change their personality. Ea, a person who is strongly against discrimination can't just pick herself up and suddenly not care about it. It's part of her personality, it's her. It's like someone telling you to stop doing something you really enjoy. You can't, that's why she just can't get up and stop what she's doing.
She's not doing this to hurt players or to make them mad. She's doing this so she can try to change the Squadcraft the community and she can make it a better place. In the thread you stated how she banned someone from shoutbox for using a word that insulted homosexuality. Actually, each person that is banned from shoutbox shouldn't even be banned from it. The 'delete' button just so happens to be above the 'ban from shoutbox' button. It was just a mis click. Mods are unable to unban players that are banned from the shoutbox. Surge has been informed of the bans that have mistakenly happened in the shoutbox, but I don't personally think it has been taking care of. Also, in the thread you talk about Ranger's application getting denied even though he got permission. Did you ever think that we need proof of that permission? Of course we do. Us mods don't have the time to bug Surge about something so small, that's just rude. So what if she denied it without even reading it, he didn't follow the rules and he didn't give us the correct proof that he got permission. That's something he should of focused on before making the application, therefore that's his mistake on his end. You also say that Ea didn't use "Best of luck" and that she removed the "kind" in Kind regards. So what if she did. Chances are that she typed it and was just feeling a bit lazy. She didn't say 4 words, wow big deal right? If you're actually pointing out something as small as that, you're obviously very desperately trying to get her demoted. When Mods deny an application, we don't always have to use the format word by word, but when we do we most likely copied it and pasted it there. Stop calling her out for little, simple things that really mean nothing. You say that her not wring 4 words shows ignorance, yet you could care less if people discriminate and use homophobic slurs like "fag". Next, you said that she only supports her friends. I find this topic very silly and unneeded. I've seen Ea support many, MANY people who she barely knows on Staff Application, on Server improvement ideas, and just stuff in general. Actually, when I was applying for Staff Ea and I never even knew each other, yet I still got support by her. She supports everyone, but most importantly she supports her friends. That's what friendship is about, support one another, boosting each other's confidence, and just overall standing up for them. You can't get mad at her for doing A GOOD THING! Next, you say that she hated on Rev's mod app just for him saying "fag" over a year ago. Although it was over a year ago, would we really want a Mod who discriminates and who uses homophobic slurs towards others? No, not really. Sure he could have changed, but what he did in the past still takes a part in everything. You say you get called a "nigger" and you don't care. Well that's you. Maybe you're totally fine with others using that kind language towards you, but when it comes to moderating, that specific word is a racial slur and offensive to many.
Lastly, you say that we need to get her demoted so we have freedom of speech. Even if she happens to get demoted, everyone will still get punished for using profanity, or discriminating against others. When Ea says something about gays, she's also stating her opinion on things, therefore you shouldn't get mad at her. You have just as much right to state your opinions as much as she does.

 

When she punishes players for using homophobic slurs, chances are that she warned them before and they continued to do so, therefore a punishment comes into play.

She uses the word "queer" to define who she is. I've never seen her use it in a offensive way. She could easily call herself a fag and it would still define who she is. She's not being hypocritical at all because the people who are using it, are using it in an offensive way when she is just using it to define who she is.

I don't really give a single shit about either side of this argument. It's just the same people with the same arguments time after time, and both sides are a part of it. It takes two to make a quarrel. Deny it all you want, but if you do you'll just prove me right in my eyes.

As such I'm remaining neutral on this.

P.S: A solution for the shoutbox ban accidents could be to implement a reason for it, like the report button does. Or 'ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO BAN THIS ACCOUNT FROM SHOUTBOX?'

K. I see what you mean about the personality and stuff. We can't help it, but we can tone it down. I love arguing, and I have toned it down since I first made the account. Also, she should get demoted as her personality would never change. What if Donald Trump was a mod? Sorry, he's not going to stop hating on Hispanics.

If she is trying to make SC a better place, she's doing a terrible job at doing so. I put this in Server Improvement because once she's demoted, our server will become a better place.

You say each person shouldn't be banned from the Shoutbox? Then why hasn't she explained the problem to him. She stated how he was being "homophobic" as if she did do it on purpose.

Also, that is a lame excuse for the denial message. She wasn't lazy or anything. She bolded the "2 months". She knew she deleted the "kind" and "best if luck" as she put some effort into the message. And she did want him to get denied. If he said he got permission, she should've asked him for the message saying so instead of straight up denying the mod app. That was EA's fault there. And you say helping her friends is friendship? True, but ONLY doing it for her friends is called being one-sided. Easy for you to say, you're friends with EA. People who EA dislikes have a whole new perspective that you know nothing about. Fwi, TheHydraPhoenix told me you do not know how to stand up for yourself. He said that you supported his app at first, yet when EA came in, you changed your vote to a -1 due to potential peer pressure. I'll ask you: You say she dislikes slurs, yet why does she ONLY remove "fag?" Surely if queer and fag mean the same thing it shouldn't be disrespectful. She talks about equality, yet I NEVER hear much from her about black people.

Also, she probably doesn't warn people that she dislikes because they've probably done it in the past and have gotten a warning then.
