So the old sg was really fun. There was 20 maps, the server had really good performance, there would always be a hundred people and it would be very fast and fun games. But it had problems. There was a solid limit to how many players can play. Also the maps would get griefed. It was very hard to add new maps, as all maps were on a single world and the entire world needed to be altered to add a new map. This made adding maps a very long and tedious process. I put a lot of my time and developers time into making a newsg, a superior sg that would be able to use whole server networks and host thousands of people. I guess there were a lot of bugs, and the dev did go awol towards the end. Most of the bugs were fixed, but the system needs work. However it might be too late. SG now constantly has 0 people. I wonder if it would have been better to just keep the old system. Maybe there was some appeal to it that many people had that I don't know about. Maybe because it was extremely simple, or maybe because they have grown used to that system. I don't exactly know and I wanted to ask what happened. Not but a month ago there would be a dozen people on having 5 player games in the middle of the night, now it's just empty. So what do you think happened to sg?
There would be hundreds of people when the old spawn was in place. You gotta stick to the tradition, also I barely can find any chests when I play a game.
okay. apparently half the freaking arenas don't drop items when you kill people because of the way denialmc implemented the auto-respawn. I'm switching to http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/survivalgames.1351/
The old spawn was a classic and the fact that wins are not announced probably has something to do with it. And the old sg was really easy to play. Bringing back the good qualities of the old sg would probably attract a higher player count.
If possible surge, add a point system to SG. Its not much but would bring popularity back. Maybe even leader boards!!.
I remember back on old squad, the SG spawn was in the hub. So many people played it because there was a fly glitch. There was also a glitch that let you keep items after death match. That's what got me hooked on playing SG xD
So.. No mods play there, Tons of hackers, Everyone lost there ranks, No new maps and No SG Youtubers.
As an SG players from the past, not that long , I know how it was before. We can all say, it has gotten extremely boring and unpopular compared to our newer minigames. This may have occured by the lack of excitement present SG brings to the table. Back then, all the arenas, they were just fun to play on, but present arenas just aren't as exciting. Also, if you win, well who knows you won? There used to be a chat notification saying ,"Blah has won the Survival Games on Arena blah." I mean it just felt like you climbed Mount Everest, especially since everyone on SG knew. Lastly, the hub has greatly affected the outcome. What's the SG hub now? A simple pink dome... nothing exciting. The old SG hub just felt more intriguing, even though it wasn't so big, you just felt good there including the mini parkour to get to the top of the warp signs and the surprisingly amusing waterfall. So basically, if you want SG to get back it's popularity, pretty sure we need the old SG back.
I remember the old days when SG was popular. I remember enjoying it way back at 2013. Now, look at the SG we all loved. SG is starting to become a ghosttown. It's so depressing to see popular minigames drastically getting worse and worse. Honestly, it would be nostalgic to make SG extremely popular aka noticeable.
