You are correct. I made an account to I can try out for moderator. I have been on the server for 1 year.

 

Very nice application. Suitable vocabulary and decent grammar. I don't play skywars much so I've never really seen you or hear of you but you seem nice. The only thing is that mods can't ban or jail; the only thing they can do about hackers is forward the proof to Surge. I would also recommend trying to become much more active on forums. But other than that, +1.

 

The only commands that mods have access to that regular players do not are /mute and /kick.

Mods and if they are a well know, loyal, respected player, they are forwarded to Surge.

He checks them when he has time. But he just accepted his core group and he has a lot on his plate at the moment so he may not get to this for a while.

Scally, no...When I was mod, you were incredibly desperate for the position. I think you may have even started off by asking if you could have OP or admin? xd
You also were very immature at that time if I remember correctly. When the age limit was 15 and you said your real age to me (which was a few years under 15), you pretended to have your brother come on and vouch for yourself. You just found way too many excuses to try to get mod so...I'm sorry, but I couldn't see you as a mod :l

Hey TheScallywagFTW I really like how much detail has gone into this application! You have wrote so much you couldn't fit it on the post which is always great!
Your application looks great and if I do not comment on a certain part you can assume it is great and nothing is wrong with it.
I also really like the layout, you made the application easy to read and very clear.

I will start of with 'Where do you spend your time on SquadCraft'. It's nice to see if you are chosen to be Mod you will not just stay in one server but you will patrol the lobby and go onto other servers as well. I know sometimes Moderating can be boring when you are patroling a lobby but if you are willing to do that then you are clearly in for a good chance at getting Mod. It's also nice to see you care about the safety of other players which I will assume as trying to protect them from DDoS attacks or loosing their accounts. You look like you will dedicate a lot of time into making sure hackers and spammers are removed from the server completely but do remember to have fun and play loads of games as well! ( Best way to catch hackers )


Now onto 'Why do you want to be a moderator? What is your goal as a SquadCraft moderator?' You have written sooo much on this part and it is amazing to see this much effort being put into a Moderator application. Also I would like to say the presentation is great and you have split up this area into paragraphs making it easier to read and understand.

You started this part by talking about hackers. Hackers are always mentioned in Moderator applications but you have used them in a different way. Most people will only talk about things that happen in-game but you have said 'When a hacker is reported, the staff determine if it is a ban, or an pass'. This is great to see you will also be keeping an eye on the forums as well as sorting things out in-game. Having an eye for hackers is always great and somebody may believe something like that isn't real but certain people can actually see if somebody is hacking, lagging or has amazing connection. It's great you have the ability to record people who may be breaking any rules and that you are happy to render and upload a video and then go on to report the hacker. This is something lots of people would not be bothered to do. You are also lucky to have a great computer to record with nice FPS so when reporting a hacker it can never be confused with FPS lag and FRAPS is a great program to record with.

It is great how you feel confident enough to describe yourself as 'A great leader, and a person who cares for others'. From what I have read so far, you seem like a really kind person and you don't seem like the person to do something like start an argument, abuse your powers or be mean to anybody else. Being a Moderator needs maturity and that is something you claim to have but I have seen you on the server and you do seem very mature and relaxed. You said you are complimented on your grades and spelling in school and when you come across them people who will do their best on attempting to start an argument they will always say something like 'Your clearly to dumb to be a Moderator' but you could easily prove them wrong.


Forming a strong relationship with all members of the community is always good so when you said 'I will help every member, and I will form relationships with every member' it shows me one more point on why your application may be the best I've read in a long time. Having experience in a high rank is good too but you should try stay on topic, that is something for another section. You say you are be active on the forums which is always expected from Moderators so you will have no trouble with that.


'As a moderator, how will you effect SquadCraft?'. This always seems important to me because people will usually keep this short and not fully answer the question but you have once again wrote loads. You said 'I will keep SquadCraft safe from hackers' and that is just basic duties of a Moderator but it's nice you make it clear you will do that. Listening to the higher ranked ( Mainly Admins ) is always important too and you seem to have no issues with doing that. You said about how there is not enough Moderators and that is true so you being added to the Moderating team will effect the server big time.


The question 'Do you want Mod just to have Mod next to your name?' can have two answers to it. If you say yes then you would usually give a reason about how the players will recognize you as a Moderator and if you say no you give a reason on why the Moderator tag isn't important to you. You chose no and while i would personally not answer the question with no you gave a good enough reason for me to understand your point of view on it. You don't want to show off the fact that you are a Moderator and that is nice of you.


When answering 'What happens if you are not chosen to be a moderator?' you answered it just how I want to see it. You will not change at all, you will continue to help players and not be disheartened about not being chosen to be a Moderator. Being a good sport is also great so being able to say even if you don't get Moderator you will congratulate the ones who did shows you are not desperate for the rank.


I really like how you answered 'How do you treat younger players?'. Your almost saying you are able to stop people from breaking the rules from a young age in a sort of brainwash, which I have nothing against. Knowing all players are equally important helps you to respect everybody no matter what.


You and I think only one other person I have seen has written something good and detailed in 'Tell us about yourself, about you, your character, personality and values.' while also giving the staff another reason to make you Mod. You said you are always ready to wake up and make an impact which is the type of dedication the server needs. Everything you wrote in here was all easy to understand and shows how great you truly are.


Took a bit longer to write because you wrote so many words but I think you have a massive chance to get Moderator, I actually couldn't see anything wrong with this al all other then one thing that could have been moved to a different section.

1. Exactly how many "Scallywags" have played on Squadcraft? I don't think it's that common of a name
2. And a Scallywag who wants mod, just like the other? Surely there's some connection here right?

 

I don't know. There are billions of registered users for minecraft, so it would't be a surprise if there was a xTheScallywagFTWx

 

Here's another odd coincidence for you:
I looked at an online Minecraft skin viewer and searched "Scallywager123". That was the username of the Scally I'm talking about. Results? None. Which means that "Scallywager123" changed his account name. Of course, it could be anything. Yet as I pointed out before, how many Scallywags actually play on Squadcraft?
I'm almost 100% sure it's you now >:]

2 - im 80% sure you havnt been on the server for a year, lying isn't a good trait in a mod
3 - you are not aware of the current commands given to mods, you had to aks.
4 - If you look up in the thread you got frustrated easily and didn't handle the situation as a mod would.

5 - "An eye like no other" hmm proof of that?
6 - You say mods are rarely on but when ever im on I either see oman, puk, or ea so...
7 - if I have never seen you on, im an active member, then how are you gonna play 24/7
8 - you stretch the truth in the app seems like your desperate and according to @Dimentio you have been desperate in the past.
9 - you are active on the forums but you are new + you are going to everyone's profile and asking them to go to your app, its seems you lack patients. so -1000

What everyone fails to see when they look at mod apps is that it is very easy to make a detailed application. Yet no matter how "detailed" something is, that doesn't necessarily mean it's authentic or truthful. Doing a bit of writing--sure, it's impressive. But all of the comments I've seen on mod apps are basing an application off of how "long" or "detailed" it is. Detail is good and shows you may care, but what about how they actually behave in-game or handle situations? What if they're lying about what they've done? That's what I think about when I look at a mod application.

You are welcome, and I want to tell you something. You are true and all, but why do apps get denied by their shortness? Well, for one, you wouldn't want a cheap and effortless moderator, wouldn't you. Detail is key, and length shows that you care, and that you are capable. Why do you get graded on essays and long reponse questions? Because the teacher wants to see you with a detailed and wise answer. Just think about that, and relate to minecraft.

 

Like I said, length is important, but it's not everything. It's nearly impossible to write a good essay that sums up a point in just one sentence. My point is, however, that a fantastic application can be written, yet still lack integrity, honesty, and authenticity.
For example, somebody who's hacked all the time before may come on and decide to write an application. The application is the longest one a server has seen yet, and the most "detailed". It seems so legit due to it's length and the fact that it gets its point across. Just because he's written a fantastic application, would you mod him? Of course not, because he told a bunch of lies in his application but made it seem perfect.
What length is good for is being able to add on to your point. Length does show care, yes (I had stated that in a previous post as well), but my point is that an application should be judged firstly by the characteristics of a person (honesty, behavior, following rules, past offenses, etc.), and length gives it an extra boost to really top an application off

Exactly my point. People remark on the length, but not his behavior. So the only feedback he's getting is on the detail of the application, not feedback of how he would be as mod.

The app was good, I really think that, but I find it kind of suspicious how you took the poll out as start as more people starting say no rather than yes...

 

I didn't take it out. @EA_Sharks took it out, because she told me I shouldn't have it up.

 

I said this because if there is a single player who dislikes you, they can make alts and vote no a bunch of times.

Okay, here's the thing. You tried much too hard. Certain verbs and words you smashed together into sentences don't work together well, don't flow, or don't make sense. I don't know if it was on purpose or inadvertently but you spoke in a half assed Yoda language that was neither helpful of your application or amusing. Finally, you brag. A lot.

Here you say you play 4-6 hours, then say you will be on 24/7. Those aren't the same if you haven't noticed. In the patrol the lobby sentence, you kinda left me hanging. Make sure of what?


Bragging in yellow, half assed Yoda in red.


Purple is a grammar error. Yellow is bragging. Green doesn't make sense. Red is Yoda language or doesn't make sense.

Red isn't true from my perspective, never even seen you. Yellow is bragging. Purple is extraneous info nobody cares about.


There is no admin, and bragging again.

Well this turned from friendly editing to full out hate on your app. I'm sorry to do so, but half way through your app I was fed up with bragging, annoying Yoda speech, and verbs/words that don't compliment your sentence correctly. A+++++ for effort bud, but that's where you went wrong. Good luck anyways.

Because ever since you've applied, you have been spamming your application all around the community telling people to look at your app and stuff.

 

With apps, there is no necro post.

 

The application is decent. But your desire for the position is too great. You're constantly spamming the shout box and surge to check your application.

Also you should probably use other adjectives other than just thoroughly, verbs other than utter, etc. You might want to use a thesaurus

Yup! Also don't use loath every time you describe someone who dislikes you. Once you've used a describing verb/noun you shouldn't use it anymore
in that paper. At least not for awhile. So instead of using thoroughly a lot, use assiduously or intensely. Take this from a very serious writer with a large vocabulary

That's not really for me to say, but given the fact that you have advertised your Moderator application an obsessive amount, I would have to say no, sorry.
If you apply again, which I hope you do, I suggest you just be patient and don't worry about what the other people say. It's better if you don't reply to them at all then to reply to them and make your image look even worse.

Your title is grammatically incorrect. But that's none of my business.

 

I've actually never seen you on skywars, only like once last week, so the fact that you've been playing for about a year is new to me. You also continuously ask people to follow you, ironically that's how I noticed you created an account on the forums because of all your messages on 'New Profile Messages'. (Ex:"Immortal, can you follow me?") This relates to the ShoutBox as well, right now it is spammed up with your messages. Also, it's really annoying that you reply on a thread and delete your post. For instance, all I saw was a whole page of EA's responses because all of yours was removed. And your signature...it's so huge that it's the reason why this thread has like 5 pages already. Please make it smaller. If you're going to delete it, don't mention it at all. Although your application is very well made and it looks like you put a lot of your effort into it, you seem as if you'd die if you didn't get it. Throughout your whole application you talk about improving and helping SquadCraft but most of the time you just give comments about yourself and how you are or 'will be the best' or better compared to anyone else that applies. And if this application is denied, I suggest you not to make a new one so quickly and let others have a chance.

Don't get me wrong, you application has been one of the most detailed one since I've seen in awhile. But the fact that you needed a document with 6 pages is just a little long don't you think o.o

Overall, I liked your application but it's going to be a -1 from me. Sorry.

 

This is one of the best apps I have ever seen. +100000000 from me, this is just amazing. Pure amazing.. Good grammar. Nice person. Funny person.. Great and helpful in the community. What else do you need in a Mod?
