Due to the despawning animals glitch all of the animals that I (and various other people on their own islands) have worked hard to retrieve despawn. For most people it's not so much of a problem because their biomes are ocean/plains (whichever is the default biome) so animals will naturally spawn in wherever there's grass. However a while ago a donator joined my island party and made it a swamp biome, which doesn't seem to allow animals to spawn naturally like on a plains biome. I've tried to use the /is trust command with a donator to change it, since they are able to interact with everything else, but it didn't work. Seems like the donator has to be completely added to the party with the right party permissions to be able to change the island. Therefore it would be great if a skyblock donator was able to join my party temporarily to change my biome to plains so that I can get my animals back. Note: If a donator who is willing to change the biome is the owner of an island already, they would have to leave their island first to join my party (I understand that most people aren't willing to do so). Details about the animal despwaning glitch: The animals that get despawned are: cows, chicken, sheep, pig and snow golem (mooshroom may also despawn, I didn't have any before the glitch started though). NPCs and Horses don't get affected, not sure about rabbits, due to my current island biome no rabbits spawn. There doesn't seem to be a set time when they despawn, or if you reach a certain limite (there have been times i've had a lot of animals, and others where I've only had 1. The glitch seems to occur server-wide at the same time though. So yea, would be great if a donator could change my biome to reduce the damage caused by the glitch.
That was Bryte_Star who made the thread previously. Whether the glitch is still going on today or not is one thing, but it was a real issue. Try if out for yourself if you like. Besides, I'm looking to try and get a donator to change my island biome so that I don't have to worry about all my animals despawning since new ones would respawn in their place.
No one believed him because none of you play skyblock really. The glitch does happen and it was reported awhile ago. @Finalninjadog can you get on?
I should be on for a couple of hours atm. I usually play on either Skyblock or Skywars I'm GMT time zone so it may be difficult. I'll keep switching to skyblock in between skywars games Basil (Basilbac) came came to my island just now and changed the biome to plains. Animals should spawn naturally now. Thank you Basil! and thank you for offering to help as well @vsteelcityv I'll keep the thread on the forums (rather than deleting it like Bryte did to the other thread) to raise awareness of the glitch.
I think there's a glitch or something because whenever i try to make a new post it gets added to my previous one... I'll just have to keep it there i guess.
