Why do you play minecraft?

I play minecraft because I enjoy the game. Same reason why I used to play Call of Duty and why I still play GTA. I find games relaxing and a good way to get away from real life problems.

What is your TimeZone?

Eastern Standard Time

When are you usually online?

I’m usually online around 1pm to 12 midnight. Granted, I’m not on that whole time because usually I have to leave to do stuff for around an hour or two. But usually that’s my time frame.

How many hours a day can you play? How many hours do you actually play?

I can play around 10-12 hours, but usually I play around 8 hours. Most of the time I have to do stuff around the afternoon, so my time would be cut up then.

How long have you been playing SquadCraft?

I think I’m coming up on my one year anniversary. I think I’ve been playing for around ten months.

What's your favourite memory on SquadCraft?

I have several different “favorite” memories. Most of them involve meeting the people I’ve met. For the most part, the SquadCraft community is amazing. You have those few bad apples that try to spoil the bushel, but in my opinion, they don’t succeed. I’ve met some people that I’m proud to call my friends. It was also amazing when I hit baltop on skyblock. I’m still working on getting istop, but that’s going to take a while.

Where do you spend your time at SquadCraft?

I used to play creative and skyblock but ever since my plot got griefed, I only play skyblock.

Why do you want to be a moderator? What is your goal as a SquadCraft moderator?

I want to be a moderator because I feel skyblock doesn’t get the love it deserves. I’ve seen numerous spammers, advertisers, and hackers. Also, usually there isn’t a mod of skyblock so it takes a while for things to get done. And to answer what is my goal, it’s to make SquadCraft a little bit cleaner. The current mods are doing an amazing job, but I feel like I could help some. Lately, skyblock has been getting a ton of rule breakers. Most of the mods never play skyblock, which is perfectly fine because skyblock doesn't get the traffic that factions, skywars, and kitpvp does. Even though we don't get the traffic, we still have tons of rule breakers. People think its okay to break the rules on there because there's never really a mod on. If I would become mod, I would put a stop to that.

As a moderator, how will you effect SquadCraft?

When people answer this question, they try to make it seem like they would fix all of Squad’s problems. Only thing I can really do it try to make squad a more peaceful place. I would try to punish anyone that breaks the rules, nobody would get special treatment. I also mainly answered this in the last question. Squad would lose hackers, and spammers would be muted. My main focus would be to get skyblock to where it should be. I will go on every mini-game every once and awhile to make sure people aren't breaking any rules, but most of my time would be on skyblock. Now granted, I won't be able to catch every rule breaker, but I will try my best to do so!

Do you want Mod just to have Mod next to your name?

Honestly, no. I would prefer to not have “mod” next to my name actually. People tend to not break the rules as much when there’s a mod on the server.

What happens if you are not chosen to be a moderator?

If I’m not chosen to be a moderator, I would just continue to play the way I have before. I would continue to report rule breakers and treat people in a kind manner.

What kind of skills do you have?

I don’t know what kind of skills this is asking for, but I’ll say what I do have. I don’t know if you would consider this a skill, but I’m kind to people and I help players as much as I can. I don’t have skills with coding or anything like that if that’s what this question is asking.

Have you ever been banned? If so, Why?

Never

Have you ever cheated, used hacks? If so, Why?

I used cheat codes on GTA San Andreas because I just wanted to fly around with a jet or a tank as soon as I started the game. But other than that, nothing.

How do you treat younger players?

I treat every player the same. I try to be kind to everyone, regardless of age.

List the things you've done to help the SquadCraft community and the SquadCraft server.

I help people with the commands on skyblock, showed people how to use world edit on creative, given away items on skyblock to people that needed them, helped people on skyblock with anything I could help with. To help the server, I’ve reported rule breakers, posted things that would help improve the server, and voted for the server to try to get it more recognized.

This is my first application.


Is there anything else you would like to say?

The only thing I would like to say is, a lot of people don’t really know me. That’s mainly because I only play Skyblock. People on that server know me pretty well though

Do you have any experience as a staff member of any organization? (doesn't have to be minecraft)

My family has a Relay for Life team, so I work at all the events we have for it. But with working with a minecraft server? Nothing really.

My real name is William. I’m honestly not a very talkative person, so I probably won’t type a lot here. I’m a quiet, calm, honest, kind (to the people that deserve it), and I help people as much as I can. I love football (American football), music, and the outdoors.

Not to be an a** but I don't think just because we get an application for a server that is basically treated like a desert, doesn't mean we HAVE TO SUPPORT THIS, although it was a decent application.

Positives :

- I can tell you're a very sweet person and will fit the Moderator position just off of being polite.
- You mean what you say in your application word by word.
- Very honest guy.

Negatives :

- I know this isn't a real big one but you should fix some wordings in your application such as "do" in the How many hours a day can you play section, change it to 'due'.

- You're lacking major detail in your application.

Result :

You would make a great Moderator, although you had negatives.. you seem the fit for a Sky Block Moderator, +1

Yes I do, but I tend to mess those up sometimes when I'm not paying a lot of attention, like when someone is talking to me irl. I'll check over my app to try to fix small mistakes like that. It might take awhile because I'm on vacation right now, so I'm only really able to check stuff at night or in the morning,

Have you seen all the players he reports? If he was a mod, they'd actually be dealt with right then and there.

 

Okay that's awesome, but it's not like it takes a century for those players to be dealt with, with the Moderators we have today.. A Mod application is to show that you're dedicated to become a Mod, mean what you say and show that you deserve it, it doesn't really fancy me that he could easily report alot of hackers/spammers instantly if he was online considering his great activity. No I'm not trying to be a d1ckhead EA, once again I'm pointing out something that you should know =]

Every time I go on Skyblock, he is online. He reports many players and is very active in-game. Because of the reports, he clearly respects the rules.
